Our diet is mainly based on fish as the main source of protein. Normally it is the Kunas (local indigenous people) who, rowing in their wooden carved kayaks, bring us fresh caught fish.
You can`t miss the vegetarian, vegan or gluten-free option, a variety of fruits, nuts, oats, vegetables and legumes. The tropical fruits that the Kuna grow organically are pineapple, some different variety of banana, mango and papaya – sweet and delicious!
It is very important to keep in mind that Kuna Yala (San Blas) is a virgin archipelago without hotel chains where only the indigenous community lives, for that reason it is not so easy to get certain supermarket products. Our menu is based on local products, and we do our best to not use plastic or generate large amounts of garbage.
